Blue Sapphires

Sapphires come in a variety of colours, but the Blue Sapphire is synonymous with being the quintessential sapphire variant, with the Blue Sapphire being unquestionably the most popular choice of sapphire the world over, and “sapphire blue” being a popular colour choice for many applications outside of the gemstone industry.

The blue sapphire also enjoys being the official birthstone of those born in September. Natural blue sapphires are a popular choice as gemstones, often being incorporated in a wide range of jewellery whilst blue sapphires have also been a common choice of gem in engagement rings, with Princess Diana, Princess of Wales being famously presented with a blue sapphire engagement ring by Prince Charles.
